Tasks and responsibilities

1. Adoption of the strategic plan, general policies, programs, and plans necessary to achieve the objectives of the Union.

2. Election of the President of the Arab Metrology Organization.

3. Election of the President, Vice President, and members of the two Executive Committees.

4. Formation of technical committees and working groups emanating from the Union.

5. Approval of the reports of the two Executive Committees.

6. Approval of the admission or termination of participating and observer members.

7. Endorsement or amendment of the Union’s documents.

8. Approval of the Union’s affiliation with relevant regional or international organizations.

9. Determination of membership requirements.

10. Approval of entities that may be authorized to carry out certain specific tasks consistent with the objectives of the Union.

11. Determination of the date and venue of the General Assembly meetings.
